We're looking for an energetic, well-spoken professional to fly the BGE flag at company and client events. This person will also lead the company's client and employee hospitality efforts, including client gift-giving. The successful candidate will join a team of other Marketing professionals in promoting BGE, Inc.'s professional and engaging demeanor to help us show our clients and employees how important they are to our success by providing strategic event planning for a variety of needs. This person is detail-oriented, adaptable and efficient. In event planning you must expect the unexpected, so this member of our team will need to be able to solve problems on the fly all while keeping his/her cool. We have events that involve all areas of our company, from conference-related receptions for clients, company meetings and employee events so the successful candidate will need to enjoy a fast-paced environment, working as part of a team and individually. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the entire process of planning and executing all details of various firm-hosted events, such as client events, internal company-wide events, client holiday gift-giving, Houston events and professional conferences. Responsible for all aspects of venue research, contract negotiation, audio-visual, travel coordination, shipping and receiving materials between destinations. Provides on-site management for some events. Coordinate the planning and execution of event logistics (e.g. liaising with internal/external vendors for food & beverage, production, giveaways, etc.) while adhering to planning timeline, brand identity, budget constraints, and administrative duties. Ensure invitations are created/sent, monitor RSVPs; manage reconciliation of payments; provide timely resolution for all client inquiries. Responsible for building an accurate and thorough budget with ongoing milestone updates to key stakeholders while maintaining adherence. Coordinate production of on-site event deliverables, such as name badges, tent cards, signage, and printing CLE forms & surveys. Ensure all invoices are paid and coded correctly post-event. Schedule post conference debrief to review if event objectives were met and determine areas of improvement. Builds relationships with external and internal clients and serves as a liaison. Participate in trade shows as needed, working with other Marketing Team members to prepare effective and exciting trade show booths for each show and manage lead-retrieval. As needed, represent company brand at various events including trade shows and speak publicly while focusing on lead generation and building/enriching relationships with potential and current clientele and industry associates. Job Qualifications Degree in Hospitality, Event Planning, Marketing or equivalent experience. Minimum 8 years' experience in an event planning role. Passionate about working with people and be customer centric. Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail. Excels in a deadline-oriented environment with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines working in an independent manner. Ability to be creative and resourceful (think on your feet) in solving problems. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while maintaining flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations. Must be proactive, self-directed and highly motivated. Professional verbal and written communication skills to include effectively presenting information and responding to questions from clients and employees. Ability to proactively engage potential clients and employees in conversation about BGE. Ability and willingness to travel.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
